Thank you for your support over the last 4 years. On January 1, 2016 the Copyright Review Board (CRB) a three-judge panel appointed by the United States Copyright Office handed down their harsh 2016–2020 ‘pure play’ music royalty increase for satellite, terrestrial, and internet radio broadcasting.
Unfortunately, the ruling excluded extension of the Small Webcaster’s Act, a special legislative provision which allowed the excellent broadcasting you have come to enjoy over Monogogo.com Global Radio Network.
The new royalty rates covering music play has pushed 1,000s of internet radio stations to cease broadcasting under the rules of powerful broadcasting professional organizations, being the American Society of Authors, Composers, and Publishers (ASCAP), Broadcast Music Industry (BMI), Society of European Stage Authors and Composers (SESAC), Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers (SOCAN), and governing royalty rate collection organization SoundExchange (SEx).
Presently, Monogogo.com Global Radio Network has been forced to modify its regular programming from a talk, music, and information platform to an all-talk format for the foreseeable future. We have consulted with our legal representatives as to our next course of action. We are in the process of securing direct licensing from each of the performance organizations to establish our internet radio streams as a full commercial entity.
Over the coming days, we will be updating our websites with a new interactive design, excellent articles, information, and enlarged advertising affiliation. Please, continue to listen to our streams via Tunein.com, ITunes.com, and Robex.com.
Please, continue to listen to our streams via Tunein.com, ITunes.com, and Robex.com. We thank you for your listenership and look forward to growing our excellent broadcast programming.
